Mike Sorrentino engaged to his girlfriend Lauren Pesce. Mike announced on Thursday via Instagram, “GYM TAN WE’RE ENGAGED!!,” the caption along with a photo showing the couple on a merry-go-round.
They met in a college before joining the cast of Jersey Shore in 2009. They dated each other for 4 years. “I have always dreamed of proposing on Jersey Shore, the show that introduced me to the world,” Sorrentino tells Us Weekly about popping the question on camera. “I’m currently living the dream and proposed to my college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, amongst my best friends on the biggest reality show in the country. We are so proud and excited to share this chapter of our story with the world.”
Sorrentino down on one knee in front of his future bride to propose her. Pesce also shared her engagement ring on Instagram and captioned it. “I said YES,” the caption read. “Love you forever @mikesorrentino.”
Mike Sorrentino and Lauren Pesce took their relationship issues to public by appearing in a season of “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars” in 2015.
“There was a lot of women but no substance,” Sorrentino said during an interview to promote that show, about his early days as a reality star. “[Pesce] was sort of my first love.”
They support and admire the efforts of each other. Pesce posted a photo on Instagram and congratulating him on the higest rating in Jerse Shore: Family Vacation premier.
“I’ve watched him work hard in silence for years, personally and professionally, without getting any recognition. He didn’t do it for anyone to notice, he did it to better himself, his life and to create a healthy and positive future for us as a family,” she wrote. “I am so proud of you for all you’ve overcome & the incredible man you are today.
